The main responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include but are not limited to:
- Verify items billed against items ordered and received and reconcile differences through follow-up with the vendor and/or other employees.
 - Checking on all Receipts and Maintaining spreadsheets on expense.
 - Responsible for cheques management.
 - Receive and process invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.
 - Verify calculations working with the Accounts system.
 - Manage petty cash transactions i.e. petty cash disbursement, verify expense reports, etc.;
 - Post financial data to appropriate accounts in an automated accounting system.
 - Responsible for Field Finance reporting.
 - Maintain files and/or removes records and reports.
 - Maintaining files and/or removing records and reports.
 - Operating standard office equipment.
 - Performing any administrative related work as assigned.
 - Asset Management.
 - Stores inventory management in the field office.
 - Management of the Kisumu or Laikipia office.
 - Performing any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
 
Administration
- Maintaining Files and/or removes records and reports.

 - Perform related work as assigned.

 - Manage the Kisumu/Laikipia office.
 - Perform other related Duties as assigned by the supervisor.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic understanding of the working of an office
 - Basic understanding of accountancy and book-keeping
 - Excellent interpersonal skills – to deal with internal and external customers.
 - Good organizational skills and ability to work, and sometimes implement own decisions.
 - Experience working in multicultural environments is an added advantage, but not essential.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
 - Certified Public Accountant (CPA Sec 4) or ACCA F5.
 - Proficiency with Quickbooks, excellent Excel skills and bookkeeping is an asset.
 - Good written and verbal skills in English and Swahili languages.
 - At Least three (3) Years work experience. NGO experience will be an added advantage
