Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly driven Business Development Officer with great knowledge of B2B sales and strategic partnerships within Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the local business landscape, excellent relationship management skills, and a strong entrepreneurial mindset. This role requires ownership, self-leadership, and a proactive approach to identifying and seizing new business opportunities.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Support the execution of business development strategies to expand market reach and revenue streams.
  • Identify new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
  • Assist in developing tailored value propositions to attract and retain key clients.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Support the execution of business development strategies to expand market reach and revenue streams.

Lead Generation & Sales

  • Identify and engage potential clients through targeted prospecting and networking.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of leads and opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Support the sales process by coordinating client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.

Partnership Development

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.
  • Support partnership discussions, collaborations, and joint ventures to drive business expansion.

Client Relationship Management

  • Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Assist in developing engagement plans to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Address client inquiries and work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Negotiation & Deal Closure

  • Support contract negotiations and pricing discussions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in deal structuring.

Industry Expansion

  • Support contract negotiations and pricing discussions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in deal structuring.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales within Kenya.
  • Background in FSI, banking, or corporate sectors is a plus.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with fintech solutions, digital transformation, or enterprise technology is an advantage
