 Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

  • Overall in charge of all catering and kitchen operations.
  • Plan menus and special functions.
  • Supervise procurement and storage of food supplies.
  • Train and appraise subordinate staff.
  • Ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations.
  • Prepare reports and advise management on catering issues.
  • Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:

  • Served as Cook 1 or its equivalent for a minimum period 3 years.
  • Diploma in Catering Management, Hotel and Institutional Management, or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership and integrity in catering operations.
