Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

  • Cleaning of offices, Bo ard ro om, chamb e rs, kitchen, lavatories and all buildings;
  • Performing reprographic services;
  • Preparing and serving tea;
  • Collecting and cleaning utensils;
  • Collecting and disposing waste;
  • Dusting offices and ensuring habitable office conditions;
  • Tending and cultivating gardens; I.e preparing grounds for planting by digging and levelling, planting flowers and life fences, trimming live fences and keeping them at acceptable levels, collecting rubbish on the ground
  • Moving or carrying office equipment, furniture and ensuring orderly arrangement;
  • Dispatching letters;
  • Collecting and delivering documents/ correspondences outside the organization; and
  • Delivering documents/correspondences within the organization.

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D (plain) or any other equivalent qualification; and
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili
