We are currently seeking a highly qualified Policy and Research Consultant to join our team at Space Crew Consultancy and Tendering Ltd. Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Policy Research: Conduct in-depth research on various policy issues and analyze existing frameworks and regulations. Stay up-to-date with relevant industry trends global best practices and emerging policy developments.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective policies and recommendations. Provide insights and expertise to support the development of new policies or modifications to existing ones.
  • Impact Assessment: Assess the potential impact of proposed policies through rigorous analysis and evaluation. Use evidence-based approaches to measure the economic social and environmental effects of policy changes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders including government officials industry experts NGOs and community representatives to gather information understand perspectives and build relationships. Foster collaboration with external partners to advocate for policy reforms.
  • Report Writing: Prepare high-quality reports policy briefs and presentations that effectively communicate research findings and policy recommendations to a range of audiences including policymakers industry stakeholders and the general public.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to the organization's thought leadership initiatives by publishing research articles participating in conferences and workshops and representing the organization in relevant forums.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or higher in Public Policy Political Science Economics, Trade and investment or a related field is required. A strong academic background in research methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in policy research analysis and development. Experience working on government policy areas is highly desirable.
  • Policy Development: Demonstrated ability to contribute to policy development processes including conducting policy gap analysis identifying best practices and formulating evidence-based recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner. Experience in writing reports or academic publications is desirable.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders including government agencies industry representatives NGOs and community organizations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ethical Conduct: Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in research policy development and stakeholder engagement activities.
