Core Functions and Responsibilities:
- Scheduling date and time of biometric appointment of relevant refugee applicants in coordination with USCIS.
- Registration and subsequent capture of biometrics for relevant refugee applicants.
- Preparation of statistics and reports for the Deputy Head of Operations on relevant activities.
- Preparation and submission of daily reports related to biometrics capture on behalf of USCIS, as well as all other issues associated with biometrics capture.
- Undergo training on use of biometric equipment.
- Undergo duty travel to Dadaab Refugee Complex, Botswana, and Djibouti to perform biometrics capture services, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education/Experience
- Seven years of working experience with secondary education; OR five years of working experience with bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in delivering on set objectives in hardship situations preferred.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently.

- Excellent computer skills – MS Office Internet.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Travel
- The assignment will take place in three countries – Kenya, Botswana, and Djibouti.
Languages
- For all applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
- Somali and/or Swahili language ability preferred.

Notes:
- Only US [CP1] citizens will be eligible for consideration.
- Appointment will be subject to US government security clearance, medical clearance, and relevant security training certification.
- Most of the work will be undertaken in Dadaab Refugee Complex in Kenya, which is classified as a Category E duty station, indicating extremely difficult living and working arrangements.
