Terms of service: Permanent and Pensionable
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Sociology, Community Development, Economics, Statistics, Environmental Studies, Geography, Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Civil/Electrical /Mechanical/Structural Engineering, Land Economics, Building Economics, Construction Management, Valuations and Property Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
Duties and responsibilities
This will be the entry and training grade for non-professional degree holders in this cadre. An officer in this grade will be deployed in the Housing Development and Management and Slum Up-grading Departments and duties will entail
- Collection of data on housing to up-date the housing database andestablish the levels of demand and supply;
- Identification of land for housing development; and
- Disseminating information on appropriate building technologies to stakeholders under supervision of a senior officer.
