Impala Club is seeking a highly skilled & experienced Sports Supervisor to oversee and optimize all aspects of Sports activities at Impala Club

The ideal candidate will be a Kenyan citizen who has the following Key Qualifications
Professional Qualifications and Experience
- Degree/ Diploma of science in sports Management
- Proven and effective experience of managing sports activities
- Relevant experience in sports management with professional qualifications in sports.
Knowledge in Technical Areas (experience);
Key Duties and deliverables
- Assist and Compile sports section budgets, annual plans and activities for smooth running of all sections and academies.
- Ensure that all sports section grounds, facilities and equipment are properly maintained in accordance with sections agreed maintenance standards and advice on all upgrades and replacements.
- Ensure all sports sections and their academies are running professionally and adhering to the sports code of conduct.
- Advertise and promote the club or center to increase usage, which may include commissioning and considering market research
- Undertake all administrative responsibilities for sports including interviewing, assessing and selecting coaches and sports staff, and advising the Management Committee through the sports Convener on best practise.
- Maintain high levels of customer care, often with a particular focus on avoiding loss of existing users
- Carry out health and safety checks on the equipment and site and give feedback to the Management.
- Handle and record complaints and incidents, e.g. accidents and emergencies, theft escalated from members, staff etc. and escalating where necessary.
- Manage all sports staff and ensure all sports staff (including coaches) have the required professional qualifications and experience to perform their duties
- Ensure sports facilities are utilized by i.e. members, registered section members, registered academy members and contracted institutions.
- Write monthly or weekly reports to be issued to the sports convenor through the General Manager and preparing cash projections for all section (including academies).
- Build and maintain sporting links within the surrounding communities (schools, community clubs, associations etc.)
- Perform performance Appraisals for all staff in the sports section and provide feedback to Management.
- Engage with all clients that wish to book the grounds facilities for e.g. events, functions, school functions in liaison with the General Manager.
- Attend Management and sports Sub- Committee meetings as required by the Club and present the Sports Monthly report.
- The Sports Manager will report to the General Manager.
