Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain facility filing system for all patients with proper sorting, color coding, and separation.
- Support KenyaEMR utilization for patient management in all departments
- Generate accurate reports as needed from time to time (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly) to the facility as well as the program.
- Participate in data review and consumption meetings at facility and sub county level.
- Validate data by comparing reports, registers, KHIS2 outputs and EMRs.
- Conduct routine/monthly Data Quality Audit and corrective/preventive plans and monitor progress.
- Communicate data quality issues effectively with the relevant staffs in clinic forums.
- Data mining from KHIS and reporting platform for use at facility level.
- Generate site level dashboards to inform on target achievement.
- Support EMR data upload to the national data warehouse.
- Offer system support including EMR troubleshooting, networking and data backup.
Academic and Professional Qualification
- Participate in QI activities
- Minimum of Diploma in Health Records from a recognized institution.
- At least 1year experience in Health records for USAID funded project.
- Proficient with Microsoft Tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient with both MoH and USAID reporting tools and databases (DATIM, KHIS2 and KenyaEMR).
- Strong attention to detail and a self-starter attitude.
- Excellent English, writing and speaking skills,
- Valid practicing license from Health Records and Information Board (HRIMB)
