Accounts Supervisor

Overall Purpose:

  • The job holder will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization. They oversee daily accounting operations, ensurecompliance with financial regulations, and lead a team of accountingstaff. Therole requires both technical accounting expertise and strong leadershipskillstomaintain accurate financial records and provide valuable insights for decision-making

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies for various departments.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting team.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of accountingfunctions.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide training for professional development.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, andincomestatements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Develop and implement efficient accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of records and documentation.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure accurate postingofentries.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors and collections from customers.

Expected Skills,Competencies & Qualifications

  • They must have a degree in Accounting , finance or relevant fieldfromareputable institution.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • Should have a minimum of strictly 3 -5 years experience in a similar roleincluding at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Posses ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Posses ability to work in an extremely high-pressure and high accountabilityenvironment.
  • Must have the Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Must have Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and Familiaritywithfinance regulations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teammembersandstakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy in preparing financial reports
  • Good math skills Organization skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Be proficient in Ms Excel and have Hands-on experience withaccountingsoftware (e.g. Quick-books).
  • Available immediately.
