Job Summary
Responsible for delivering comprehensive executive support to the Managing Director (MD), including managing schedules, communication, and daily operations. The role involves providing strategic insights, and preparing high-level reports that will aid in decision-making. Additionally, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, fosters cross- team alignment, and overseeing the execution of key projects to drive organizational success and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide actionable insights, recommendations, and strategic analysis to support the MD’s decision-making process.
- Conduct market and industry trend analysis, identifying potential risks, opportunities, and competitive positioning for the business.
- Prepare periodic updates on the organization’s performance against strategic goals, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Support the MD in budgeting, financial analysis, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Serve as the liaison between the MD and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
- Represent the MD in meetings, ensuring that follow-up actions are implemented, and key messages are conveyed.
- Foster collaboration across teams and departments, ensuring alignment of business priorities and strategic objectives Act as the primary point of contact for the MD, managing schedules, communications, and daily administrative tasks.
- Oversee the MD’s office operations, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Prepare and manage high-level reports, including Board and Committee reports, Group Executive Committee (Grp EXCO) reports, and Insurance & Asset Management (IAM)- Africa Regions (AR) reports.
- Organize meetings, take minutes, track action items, and follow up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare briefs, reports, and presentations for internal and external engagements, ensuring alignment with the MD’s priorities Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to design project plans, track progress, and monitor deliverables.
- Develop and implement strategies to align operations with the company’s objectives, ensuring timely and effective project execution.
- Implement frameworks to track and assess the impact of strategic initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes and business success.
- Prepare and present presentations for the MD on industry and company issues, providing well-organized, research-based insights.
- Monitor business performance and recommend corrective actions to achieve strategic objectives.
- Provide high-level data analysis, dashboards, and reports to assist in executive decision-making.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is typically required.
- Background in Strategic Management, Project Management, or Executive Support would be an added advantage
Experience
- 3 years of experience in business management, executive support, or administrative role within a corporate or high-level executive setting
