Job Summary:

  • The Procurement Intern will support the Procurement team in the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain processes of the company. The intern will gain hands-on experience in procurement activities, supplier management, and compliance with company policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Support: Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required by various departments.
  • Supplier Engagement: Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, verify prices, and confirm delivery schedules.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure proper documentation of purchase requests, supplier agreements, and invoices while maintaining procurement records.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Assist in tracking inventory levels and coordinating stock replenishment to avoid shortages.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on new suppliers, products, and cost-effective procurement solutions.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Assist in preparing purchase orders and ensuring timely approvals.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain procurement databases and generate reports as required by the Procurement Officer.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in organizing procurement files, supplier information, and other procurement-related administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain principles.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
