Job purpose
- The Sales Executive is responsible for conducting market research, identifying sales prospects and opportunities as well as evaluating customer needs in order to drive the respective category sales growth.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for meeting approved annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets for delegated product categories
- Responsible for actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, email and social media
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Responsible for selling delegated category products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
- Quality reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Participate in trade and industry expos, trade events or other networking events with the aim of realizing quality sales opportunities with potential for conversions
- Negotiate and handle any objections or complaints from clients
- Responsible for personal development, maintaining professional and technical knowledge in the industry with regular training or workshops, establishing personal networks, reviewing interior-related publications, sales techniques and business models
Requirements
- Minimum high school Diploma with a preference for Degree in Sales/Marketing Management or 2+ yrs proven experience in sales management
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Passion for sales and customer engagement
- Proficiency in basic office applications
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual targets as shared by Management
- Timely and quality reporting for effective decision-making by respective teams (procurement, finance, marketing, operations)
