Position Summary

  • Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is excited to share a unique opportunity to connect and develop an expert entrepreneurial membership network. The Manager, MEPA Region (Middle East, Pakistan, & Africa) will guide the chapters, chapter leadership, and Regional Council members (mainly Area Directors) across Africa, consistent with the mission and vision statements of the organization. The Manager will advise chapter board officers on standard chapter operations and best practices. The primary goal of the Manager is to create healthy, growing chapters that consistently deliver the EO brand to their members.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of chapters throughout Africa, building relationships with chapter members, and helping to provide valuable member experience.
  • Stimulates growth strategies within the chapters through various strategies.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for help and assistance to chapters in Africa, acting as an advocate where needed for the global organization.
  • Ensures proper representation of the EO brand by local chapters.
  • Helps chapters with a variety of issues throughout the year with the main goal of putting the chapter in the best possible position to succeed.
  • Promotes EO Global initiatives within the region.
  • Manages membership reports for board members, regional council members, and EO colleagues when relevant to the activities of the region as needed.
  • Liaises with Presidents and President-Elects of the region’s chapters and serves as the main point of contact for chapter staff across the region.
  • Facilitates contact with the global functional teams to support local Board Members.
  • Contributes to Chapter Staff Training in Africa.
  • Occasionally leads ad-hoc projects affecting the entire MEPA region and supporting Chapter Launch efforts (in coordination with Chapter Launch team).
  • Assists with chapter strategic planning and execution during annual summit meetings, monthly area calls, and other scheduled chapter events. Attends approximately three EO leadership and membership conferences per year.
  • Collaborates with the Regional Council while serving as the direct liaison to the Area Director of Africa.
  • Supports preparation for the annual Presidents’ Meeting.
  • Assists the Director, MEPA in preparing for the Regional Council Meetings (3-5 annually) with information on African chapters. Supports extra activities for Africa during these meetings (ex. Area Dinner, Area Summit).
  • Drives, tracks, and reports, Global Leadership Conference (GLC) event activities.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications, Skills, And Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a nonprofit/association/membership organization.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the year.
  • Native-level proficiency in English required, fluency is Arabic is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Event and logistic experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in collaboration, CRM, project management tools preferred.
  • Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy, and poise.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job.
  • Exercises confidentiality and discretion.
  • Willingness and availability to travel to local and international meetings.
  • Promotes cultural competency and global awareness.
  • Establishes relationships proactively; shows genuine interest in the needs and concerns of others; maintains a positive attitude; builds networks.
