  • The Head of Careers, reporting to the Head of Sixth Form College, is a key advisor to students on both subject choice at iGCSE and A-Level, but also on tertiary education.
  • Responsibilities of the Head of Careers include developing the College's overall university application programme, assisting in managing the transition from Y11 to College, developing the College's identity and ethos, whilst building its reputation, offering careers advice to students and parents, establishing effective partnerships with universities across the world and coordinating and monitoring the work experience programme.  The successful candidate will be well supported in their posit and will be offered quality continuing professional development as they grow in their role and their leadership.
  • Please note that, while this is a significant whole school responsibility, the successful candidate will also have up to a 0.8 teaching timetable.  An ability to support the Economics/Business faculty and or the PSHE programme would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • St Andrew's School is embarking on a major investment in school resources, including the construction of new classrooms, boarding houses and a designated STEAM centre.  The successful candidate will have a key role in shaping the future of St Andrew's.

  • St Andrew's Turi is one of the leading international schools in Africa.  Founded in 1931, it has grown to comprise both Preparatory and Senior Schools.  St Andrew's is a full boarding school, situated on a beautiful 450 acre site on the western slopes of the Rift Valley, North West of Nairobi, and at an altitude of 2500m (making it malaria free) where the wonderful climate makes it one of the most sought after places to live in Kenya.
  • St Andrew's has a strong Christian foundation and ethos, which continue to define and govern the nature and work of the School.  The Senior School has over 365 students (The Prep School has 230 students) from over 25 nations, with the majority hailing from Africa.  The School's distinctive Christian character is evident in all aspects of School life, with children from all faith backgrounds welcome.
