Responsibilities:
- Design and customize tour packages based on client preferences, budgets, and travel seasons.
- Provide insightful and engaging guided tours, sharing historical, cultural, and geographical knowledge of various destinations.
- Handle inquiries, bookings, and travel arrangements, ensuring seamless coordination of itineraries.
- Build strong relationships with hotels, transport providers, and local attractions to enhance customer experiences.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and assist travellers with any issues or emergencies during tours.
- Keep up to date with new tourism trends, destinations, and regulations to provide accurate and relevant information.
- Maintain records of tour activities, customer feedback, and operational expenses.
Requirements:
- A degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a tour guide, travel consultant, or in a similar tourism role.
- Strong knowledge of Kenya’s tourist destinations, wildlife, cultural sites, and local customs.
- Customer-focused with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanour.
- Ability to handle travel logistics, problem-solving, and emergency situations effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with travel booking software is an advantage.
- Self-driven and strongly motivated, tour consultant.
