As a Cooks you are responsible for preparing meals, adhering to established recipes, and maintaining a tidy workspace. They may modify recipes to accommodate customer preferences and collaborate with the wait staff to ensure smooth service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Modify recipes to accommodate specific customer preferences.  
  • Coordinate with service staff regarding customer needs and requests.  
  • Create visually appealing garnishes to enhance the presentation of meals.  
  • Maintain a clean workspace consistently throughout the day to comply with health and safety regulations. 
  • Following established cooking schedules and portion sizes
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Certificate or Diploma in Food Production
  • Minimum one-year experience
  • Proficiency in basic knife cuts like chopping, dicing, slicing, julienning
  • Attention to detail
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • The ability to form positive relationships with colleagues.
