Kitchen Service Attendant (School-Based)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of meals by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Serve food to students and staff in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed in compliance with health regulations.
  • Set up dining areas and assist in clearing tables after meals.
  • Dispose of waste properly and manage kitchen supplies and inventory.
  • Report any kitchen equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures related to food service operations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or Certificate in catering
  • One-year experience in food service or kitchen assistance (an added advantage).
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
