Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chair, Pure and Biomedical Sciences department, School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the successful candidate will be expected to support learning activities in Biochemistry laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and conducting lab tests according to standard procedures
- Supervising and assisting students during laboratory and research sessions
- Ensuring student adherence to safety protocols while performing practical’s
- Management of laboratory supplies
- Using, cleaning and maintaining various types of equipment.
- Segregate and dispose laboratory waste appropriately
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physiology from accredited university.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a similar position in a research or higher learning Institution.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Experience in an accredited laboratory will be an added advantage
- Excellent skills and competency in Physiological techniques, pathology or human anatomy. Clinical Biochemistry is an added advantage
- Registration by relevant regulatory body (if applicable);
