Mortuary Attendant/Mortician - 2 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include;

  • Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures.
  • Recording bodies received.
  • Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration.
  • Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems.
  • Counselling the relatives.
  • Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures.

Requirements for Appointment

For Appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen (Attach ID)
  • KCPE and KCSE Certificate
  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a busy mortuary or a reputable Funeral Home (Attach evidence).
  • Certificate in Mortuary Science from a recognized institution
  • Training in embalming and grief counselling will be an added advantage

Remuneration: As per Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
Terms of Employment: Three (3) Years Contract
