Brief Description
- Job Purpose Statement: Undertake the evaluation, development and implementation of new products and product enhancements for greater customer satisfaction.
Detailed Description
- Deliver ad-hoc projects to launch new products and propositions to the market.
- Quantify and Identify opportunities as well as makes recommendations of innovative ways to maximize availability and sales of KQ ancillary products.
- Optimize pricing closely coordinating with pricing managers to ensure ancillary products are complementary and provide incremental revenue as opposed to competing with traditional airline products
- Infuse insights from inventory management to ensure ancillary offers align with revenue management goals
- Conduct competitor analysis, analyze consumer behavior and understand market trends to aid in decision-making before launch of new products
- Generate reports and dashboards to track ancillary revenue performance, using the RevPlanner Decision Support tool and provide insights and recommendation for improvements
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue across various channels including the website, mobile app, call centre, airport and onboard.
- Gather customer feedback to improve the overall ancillary experience and maximize adoption rates
- Track performance of ancillary products and challenge sales and ground services team to support
- Liaising with commercial teams and training internal stakeholders (CTOs, ATOs, Contact Center) to ensure ongoing roadmap, development and improvement of KQ Ancillary products.
- Working collectively with internal/external partners, take/lead role in partner discussions, ensuring alignment of processes, to achieve joint goal setting, leading to the implementation and operationalization of projects to reach Kenya Airways ancillary goals.
- Facilitate direct ancillaries sales strategy based on data-driven findings and market research and cascading to all distribution channels available applying the Direct First Strategy
- Help coordinate with marketing and product leads on key messaging for new and emerging products
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote ancillary products across multiple channels
- Use customer segmentation and personalization techniques to create targeted marketing messages that improve conversion rates
- Collaborate with Asante team to integrate ancillaries into frequent flyer promotions
- Work with digital and UX teams to improve ancillary product placement, upselling strategies and user experience on booking platforms
- Identify, manage, communicate, and resolve day-to-day matters arising in relation to existing partnerships.
Job Requirements
- University Degree in a business-related field or a business/travel/hospitality diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in an airline commercial environment.
- Proficiency in MS-office, Internet, Databases
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Needs to demonstrate knowledge of airline procedures and distribution systems
- Creative and proven organizational skills
- Supervisory/Management skills
- Sound knowledge of the product development cycle.
- Experience in strategic thinking to challenge status quo and create solutions
- Specific experience in research methodology product development and brand innovation.
- 3 years in a commercial environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
