Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in in fire science, fire engineering, public administration, Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Occupational Health, and safety disciplines, or its recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institute
- Certificate in Fire Engineering, Incident Command Systems course, and Fire prevention.
- Served satisfactorily as Fire Officer 1 and above for at least two (2) years.
- Shown merit and ability in work performance and results.
Job Description
- Coordinate with other emergency services and agencies (police, medical, etc.) to ensure a cohesive response.
- Ensure that adequate resources (personnel, equipment, vehicles) are always available and ready for deployment.
- Champion fire prevention and safety programs to reduce risks and protect communities.
- Engage in public outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about fire safety and emergency preparedness.
- Ensure fire codes and safety regulations are implemented and followed across the community.
- Promote community-based fire safety and disaster prevention programs.
- Oversee the risk assessment processes for fire and rescue services to identify potential hazards.
- Review incident reports and after-action reviews to ensure continuous improvement and the application of lessons learned.
- Address any issues of non-compliance or operational inefficiency promptly.
