Migori County is a county in the former Nyanza Province of southwestern Kenya. It is located in western Kenya and borders Homa Bay County, Kisii County, Narok, Tanzania and Lake Victoria to the West. The county also borders Uganda via Migingo Island in Lake Victoria.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the design and the implementation of County Government of Migori Monitoring and Evaluation programs, strategies and policies in consultation with the Director and Chief Officer 
  • Coordinates the establishment of County Government of Migori Monitoring and Evaluation program policies, procedures and guidelines for all programs of the directorate.
  • Oversee the development, review and update the Division’s budget and work plan to support its operations 
  • Coordinate the implementation of the Committee’s mandate as outlined in the committee’s strategic plan.  
  • Develop key accountability measures, set targets for the directorate and appraise staff against agreed set targets. 
  • Undertaking performance review of the department and appraisal of staff working under him/her. 
  • Provide input into the development of the department strategies, policies, service charter and guidelines to support the execution of its mandate. 
  • Interpret and provide advice on planning and policy issues. 
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports for County Government of Migori.
  • In consultation with departmental heads, develop annual work plans.
  • Perform any other duty that maybe assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:   Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Project Planning and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized university in Kenya. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines is an added advantage:   Economics, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Planning and Management or equivalent qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya. 
  • Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution. 
  • Certification in Monitoring and Evaluation will be an added advantage. 
  • Have at least seven (7) years professional experience in public service three (3) of which should be in a senior management position.
