Duties and Responsibilities.
- Conduct property and assets inspections and prepare timely valuation reports.
- Obtain official property searches and maps from relevant government bodies.
- Verify the purpose of the valuation (e.g. sale, mortgage, insurance, bookkeeping, foreclosure, house allowance etc.)
- Ensure timely collection and proper accounting of valuation fees, forwarding invoices to clients as per instructions.
- Conduct market surveys to establish comparative property values.
- Gather county land values and recent sales data to assist in property valuation.
- Compile property information, calculate values, and prepare invoices in accotdance with agreed upon valuation fees.
- Build and maintain professional networks to support valuation work, particularly in unfamiliar locations.
- Prepare tender and pre- qualification documents for valuation work, including applications to join valuation panels.
- Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in all valuation activities.
Requirements for Appointments
- Bachelor’s degree in land economics, real estate and property studies.
- Graduate or full member of the institution of Surveyors of Kenya ( Valuation Chapter)
- Must be a registered Valuer.
