Account Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage monthly payroll ensuring accuracy in salaries, taxes, and benefits while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Prepare and file statutory returns such as PAYE, VAT, and pension contributions in compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction coding.
- Assist with financial reporting and support monthly and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate management reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a fintech or B2B environment in an accounting or finance-related role. Proficiency in QuickBooks and a solid understanding of bookkeeping and payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of statutory filings and regulatory compliance requirements in payroll and taxation.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) level III qualification is required.
