Clinical Officer - Kisumu Al Imran

Assessment and Diagnosis

  • Take patient histories
  • Perform physical or psychological examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab tests, imaging, etc.)
  • Identify health problems and conditions

Treatment and Management

  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications or therapy (depending on licensure)
  • Perform procedures (e.g., minor surgery, wound care, etc.)
  • Manage chronic illnesses and monitor progress

Patient Education

  • Explain diagnoses and treatment options
  • Advise on lifestyle changes, preventive care, and medication adherence
  • Empower patients to make informed health decisions

Care Coordination

  • Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (nurses, therapists, pharmacists)
  • Ensure continuity of care across services or settings
