The Sales Executive – Office Furniture Division is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and promoting tailored office furniture solutions to meet client needs. The role involves conducting client consultations, presenting product options, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and post-sale support. Success in this role requires strong sales acumen, client management skills, and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
Key duties and responsibilities
Business Development and Client Acquisition:
- Identify new B2B sales opportunities in sectors such as banking, telecom, NGOs, government, and corporate offices.
- Develop a robust pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and industry events.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new product opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, procurement managers, and office administrators.
- Develop strategic plans to target potential high-value accounts and follow through with targeted approaches.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets and profitability objectives.
- Conduct client consultations to understand workspace needs and propose customized office furniture solutions.
- Present product demonstrations, highlighting ergonomic features, design flexibility, and space optimization.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals, including design mock-ups, quotations, and pricing breakdowns.
- Negotiate contracts, including pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms to secure deals.
- Close sales through effective communication, relationship management, and addressing client concerns promptly.
Account Management and Client Retention:
- Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients by providing post-sale support and customer care.
- Conduct follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any product issues or service discrepancies.
- Offer after-sales support such as product adjustments, maintenance guidance, and reconfigurations.
- Upsell and cross-sell complementary office products like ergonomic chairs, storage solutions, and accessories.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Track and analyze key sales metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to refine strategies.
- Provide feedback to the product development team on market needs and client preferences.
Marketing and Brand Promotion:
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to increase brand visibility.
- Develop client presentations and marketing collateral in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Act as a brand ambassador by showcasing the company’s craftsmanship and product quality.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure client specifications are accurately met.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to manage deliveries, installations, and post-sale services.
- Collaborate with the finance department to address billing and payment issues.
Ad Hoc Tasks:
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required
- Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development or sales in the furniture industry, with a focus on office furniture
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
