Kenchic Limited is the leading producer of poultry in East and Central Africa. At its inception, the company’s main activity was the production of broiler and layer day-old chicks. Over the years the company has expanded operations to include processed chicken and further processed products. The company started its operations in 1984. The company’s Head Office is in Exsan House along Enterprise road. Kenchic is proud to be the largest integrated poultry operation in East and Central Africa and deals in day-old chicks, processed chicken meat and further processed products such as smoked sausages, choma sausages & sausages.

  • We're looking for a brand builder and consumer champion to help shape the future of our brands in Kenya. As Brand Manager, you'll be at the heart of driving how our products show up in the market.
  • This role isn't about sitting behind a desk writing briefs. it's about turning insights into action, launches into success stories, and campaigns into conversations that matter. Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand & Strategy
  • Develop and execute annual brand plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate consumer, trade, and competitor insights into actionable strategies. Champion and embed the brand purpose in all communication and engagements.
  • Innovation & Renovation
  • Drive the end-to-end process for innovation and renovation, ensuring relevance and speed to market.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver quality, successful relaunches, and pipeline delivery.
  • Anticipate and respond to evolving consumer needs in Kenya.
  • Marketing Execution
  • Lead integrated brand campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital, in-store) that drive awareness and loyalty.
  • Strengthen visibility and engagement across retail and direct-to-consumer touchpoints.
  • Manage digital and social media channels to deliver impactful brand messaging.
  • Performance & Analytics
  • Monitor brand health and track sales performance against KPIs.
  • Evaluate ROI of campaigns and recommend corrective action.
  • Integrate consumer segmentation into brand strategies and activations
  • Stakeholder & Agency Management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure aligned brand execution.
  • Manage agencies to deliver effective, on-brand communication.
  • Support engagement with key stakeholders including retailers, farmers, and regulators.
  • Sustainability & Corporate Alignment
  • Ensure brand communication reflects commitments to sustainability, food safety, and community impact.
  • Support major events, CSR, and forums with brand visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG brand management
  • Proven success in managing brands in Kenya and launching/relaunching products.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to link brand activity to sales and profitability.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and consumer engagement in Kenya.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical, data-driven decision maker with problem-solving ability. Creative, strategic thinker with disruptive approaches.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across teams and agencies. Resilience and agility in a fast-paced market.
