Requirements for Appointment: -

  • A Diploma in sign language, Special needs education or its related from a recognized institution
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in County procedures, proceedings and operations.
  • Proficiency in Computer Application Skills

Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Assist physically challenged (hearing impaired) individuals understand the proceedings during County Government events and functions;
  • Facilitate communication with the hearing impaired through sign language;
  • Serve as a liaison between County Government and the special needs community;
  • Provide accurate accounts of proceedings in sign language;
  • handle work- in client at the customer care desk; and
  • Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
