Job Description
- Connect with Luhya-speaking communities by recruiting and organizing contributors, ensuring their voices are represented in a global technology project.
- Empower participants by guiding them through recording sessions with easy-to-use computer tools, making the process smooth and engaging.
- Champion language quality by guaranteeing clear, accurate recordings that truly capture the richness of the Luhya language.
- Keep the project moving forward by managing and submitting recordings on time, contributing directly to milestones and global impact.
- Inspire and lead participants to achieve collection targets while creating a positive, collaborative environment.
- Be the voice of the field team by reporting progress and insights to the project team, helping shape decisions and improvements.
Qualifications
- Native or fluent Luhya speaker with understanding of multiple dialects
- Strong reading and communication skills in Luhya
- Basic computer literacy (Google Suite, file saving, navigating new software)
- Keen attention to detail and ability to enforce quality standards
- Experience in field coordination, recruitment, or community mobilization (an advantage)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
