The Co-Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to provide inclusive education support for students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will co-plan and co-deliver lessons, implement Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs), and help ensure that all students can access the curriculum successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to plan, teach, and assess lessons that accommodate all learners.
- Support students with special educational needs through differentiated and scaffolded instruction.
- Assist in developing and implementing ILPs in consultation with the learning support team.
- Modify materials, teaching strategies, and assessments to ensure accessibility.
- Support the academic and social inclusion of students within the classroom setting.
- Maintain clear communication with teachers, specialists, and parents regarding student progress.
- Keep accurate documentation of student support and outcomes.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education (Special Needs Education) or Bachelor of Education with Special Needs certification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in inclusive or special education settings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education principles.
