Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative functions in the Ward unit;
- Developing policies and plans;
- Ensuring effective service delivery;
- Coordinating developmental activities to empower the community;
- Providing and maintaining infrastructure and facilities of public service;
- Managing the County Public Service;
- Facilitating and coordinating citizen participation in the development of policies and plans and delivery of services;
- Exercising any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board;
- The Ward Administrator shall be responsible to the Sub-County administrator; and
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have,
- Served in the grade of Chief Administration Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
- Certificate in computer application skills.
