Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

  • Conducting farmer need assessment;
  • Mobilizing, training and advising farmers on matters relating to agricultural extension services in a working unit;
  • Production, land development, planning and management of demonstration plots; and
  • Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor;

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), mea grade C- or its equivalent; and
  • Attended two (2) year Certificate Course in any of the following fields: Agriculture, Food Technology, Agriculture & Home Economics, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Certificate in computer application skills
