Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Overall in charge of all catering and kitchen operations.
- Plan menus and special functions.
- Supervise procurement and storage of food supplies.
- Train and appraise subordinate staff.
- Ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations.
- Prepare reports and advise management on catering issues.
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
- Served as Cook 1 or its equivalent for a minimum period 3 years.
- Diploma in Catering Management, Hotel and Institutional Management, or equivalent.
- Proven leadership and integrity in catering operations.
