Master Power Systems Limited (MPSL) came into inception in 2001 and is now a leading engineering and contracting company specialized in designing and executing electrical works, with the main focus being in the corporate market strong minded in providing quality service. Today, MPSL has grown and works on electrical installation projects all over Kenya, Uganda and it is spreading far across East and Central Africa. With highly experienced staff of about 250 on payroll and 400 casual staff, we have the capacity to deliver the best. We are continuously striving to expand our operations by diversifying geographical risks and consequently we have opened up an office in Mombasa and Kampala, Uganda.

Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Engineer - Procurement Officer, located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role involves designing electrical solutions, managing power distribution systems, and ensuring the effective implementation of electrical engineering projects. Additional responsibilities include sourcing materials, evaluating vendors, and overseeing the alignment of procurement processes with project requirements.

Qualifications

  • In depth knowledge of Electrical LV MV HV Items and projects.
  • Knowledge of Electricity, Power Distribution, and Power Systems.
  • Experience in procurement activities related to electrical engineering projects
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of Electricity and Power Distribution
  • Professional certification in electrical engineering is a plus
  • BOQ and Project Estimation skills
  • Strong negotiation and research abilities
  • Experience in electrical engineering projects
  • Purchase Orders and Procurement skills
  • Strong knowledge of ERP system.
  • Contract Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience - 5 Years plus in the Electrical procurement or MEP Company/Field.
