Program Manager, Women’s Leadership & Governance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement ENA’s Political initiatives to ensure adherence to the Strategic Plan 2023 -2027 and Annual Work Plans.
  • Support implementation of ENA’s political initiatives
  • Compiles timely and quality reports in line with ENA’s and partner specifications.
  • Support and initiate resource mobilization efforts for the Program Centre.
  • Support implementation of the Women’s Training program under the ‘Running to Win’ serries.
  • Drive growth of the Democracy Trust Fund (DTF) to ensure efficient and effective implementation of ENA’s political initiatives; and
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate Supervisor and or the by the Group CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree (minimum Master’s degree) in Gender  & Development, ( Knowledge and or qualifications in Social/Political  sciences, or a related field will be an advantage)
  • Have at least ten (5 ) years of experience leading Women’s programs in a related field (civic education, democracy, development, governance) in an I/NGO or a large organization.
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of programming issues, project management, donor reporting and grants management.
  • Organizational, planning, and coordination skills, ability to determine priorities, and attention to detail;  
  • Able to lead and work with others within the program centre and within the  institution;
  • Good writing and Communication skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge with colleagues and a respectful team builder;
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of a constantly changing political environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of gender equality issues and constitutional provisions 
  • Ability to manage stress and work within tight deadlines
