Ecommerce Product Manager

- This role will be pivotal in ensuring that the platform meets business needs while providing a seamless shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate has a blend of technical proficiency, business acumen, and an innate understanding of the e-commerce landscape. Among your primary objectives will be to draft and execute a product growth strategy, and ensure engineers are sticking within sprint timelines to deliver features and products in order of priority. You will ensure all feature and product requirements are met and have been fully tested to meet the end user’s needs.
- You will directly report to the Product Director.
Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Develop, maintain, and communicate the e-commerce product roadmap in alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., marketing, sales, customer support) to define and prioritize product features and enhancements.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a bridge between non-technical stakeholders and the engineering team, ensuring product requirements are translated into actionable development tasks.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Data Analysis: Utilize analytics tools and platforms to monitor performance and inform product decisions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keep all relevant parties updated on product development processes, timelines, and changes.
- User Experience: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure the platform is intuitive and meets user needs.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with QA teams to ensure products meet quality standards and performance benchmarks.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on e-commerce trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the the platform remains competitive
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and trends
- Have 2+ years of experience in product management, development, design, and delivering highly successful and innovative features and products
- Have a Technical understanding of agile development methodologies
- You are excited to become a master of our product and have great knowledge of our market, customers, and competition
- Be emotionally intelligent, humble, and excited to work within a fast-paced environment with a great culture
- Possess strong data analysis skills. Be comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Exhibit the ability to navigate ambiguity, juggle multiple tasks, think independently, and problem-solve like a boss.
- Relevant or related Academic qualification.
Good to have:
- Degree in computer science or an equivalent degree
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps workboard, or other project management software
- Experience in design thinking where an intentional collection of user needs from end users is emphasized to lead the overall direction of the product
- Experience manipulating data with proficiency in either Excel, Python, SQL or any other relevant BI tools
