QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements For appointment:-

  • A Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
  • Membership to a relevant professional body

Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Undertake site investigation, prepare civil structural drawings, design specification of buildings, roads, foot bridges and river protection works;
  • Assisting in collecting data on road inventory;
  • Prepare and maintain site records and other road work records and submit weekly and monthly reports;
  • Undertake supervision of works in progress;
  • Ensure specification and standards are adhered to during construction
  • Prepare cost estimates and schedule of materials for simple road constructions on labour contracts; and
  • Prepare tender documents for civil works, supervision of construction of buildings, foot bridges and river protection works.
