QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for Appointment: -

  • Degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Psychology, Sociology, Psychology and Counseling or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Ability to keep confidentiality of client’s information;
  • Ability to empathize with clients;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Membership to a relevant Professional body.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Make recommendations for review of policies pertaining to counseling of staff;
  • Assess employees through detailed conversations, interviews, and observations to determine the appropriate testing, examination and recommendation for appropriate treatment;
  • Create effective treatment plans that include counseling, medication, or other services;
  • Work with the client and develop goals;
  • Diagnose and treat various mental, emotional and behavioral disorders;
  • Discuss the treatment plan with the employees on a regular basis to identify faults or room for improvement;
  • Educate employees about appropriate coping mechanisms to help them through tough situations; and
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
