Responsibilities:
- Work closely with PATH Malaria Program and Ministry of Health program administrative focal point to assist and provide technical support for planned and unplanned events and meetings.
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders, including ministries of health, universities, NGOs, civil society, and private sector partners to implement planned activities.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with project partners.
- Provide input on standard operating procedures for project implementation.
- Develop reporting templates and processes to ensure timely and organized delivery of data and reports.
- Work with in-country and PATH administrative contacts to facilitate contractual and financial reporting requirements.
- Correspond closely with the US-based team and provide updates on project progress and issues.
- Monitor start-up activities closely and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Conduct field visits to surveillance sites to ensure adherence to established protocols.
- Conduct site visits of partners to ensure activities are being implemented as planned.
- Support the Chief of Party in the development of annual workplan.
- Collaborate with the Finance team in the elaboration of annual budget.
- Participate in technical review committee for grants under contracts, as applicable and as needed.
- Supervise the Program Administrative Assistant
- Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Required skills and experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating technical activities among different stakeholders; including ministries of health, universities, NGOs, civil society, and private sector partners
- Bachelor’s degree in public health or similar required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience supporting USAID and/or PMI funded health projects, Familiarity with malaria programs.
- Experience interfacing with and navigating governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
- Demonstrated effective project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of partners with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Team-oriented and ability to facilitate productive working relationships inside and outside the organization.
