  • In this role, you will become part of our Emerging Markets Infrastructure team and report to our Head of Business Development. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and external communications, including developing and prioritizing content for LinkedIn posts. 
  • Conduct research on potential clients, competitive landscapes, market trends, and relevant events. 
  • Identify and apply for opportunities that align with our platform, including monitoring various portals for suitable initiatives. 
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as contract creation, ensuring attention to detail. 
  • Maintain, improve and optimize our CRM (HubSpot).
  • Take comprehensive notes during meetings and provide critical insights. Prioritize tasks effectively and support the team in proposal development. Prepare and enhance PowerPoint presentations. 
  • Manage our memberships in key industry associations (e.g. Kenya Solar Energy Association, African Mini Grid Association, Gogla). 

Future growth: 

  • This role initially focuses on internal support, with the potential for development into a fully independent Business Development role over approximately 18 months, potentially taking over smaller consultancies.
  • We are looking for a proactive individual who is eager to grow with our company and contribute to our success in the energy and climate sectors.

IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

  • Degree in Business (preferably a Masterʼs).
  •  1-2 years of experience in B2B sales, internships included.
  •  Fluency in English & French is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills. 
  • Experience with proposal developemt and request for proposals. 
  • Understanding and maintaining CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot). 
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Excellent presentations skills.
  • Familiarity with energy and climate sectors.
