 JOB SUMMARY 

  • Kakamega Sports Club is a members’ club seeking to recruit an energetic self-driven cook at the club's food production department. 

The candidate must meet the following requirements: 

  • Diploma in Food and Beverage production and presentation from a recognized institution or a culinary discipline equivalent. 
  • Must have previous relevant experience of at least three years in a busy kitchen doing bulk operations, buffet and ala carte food production and presentation. 
  • Have extensive knowledge in food costing and menu planning. 
  • Have appropriate knowledge in food and beverage stock take and controls. 
  • Adhere to food safety standards and maintain high levels of hygiene at all times  
  • Ability to work well under pressure and cohesively as part of a team. 
  • Be able to undertake any other tasks delegated by the kitchen department head. 
  • Knowledge in baking and grilling will be an added advantage
