Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of all construction projects, ensuring smooth functionality and implementation of operational procedures and standards.
  • Develop cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion.
  • Track and control construction schedules and associated costs.
  • Manage direct and indirect labor deployed to construction sites, ensuring efficient allocation and use.
  • Oversee machinery allocation, repair, and usage.
  • Administer construction contracts and sign off on subcontractors.
  • Manage procurement for materials and supplies.
  • Ensure appropriate permits and licenses are obtained for all construction sites.
  • Ensure all projects meet health and safety codes, environmental regulations, and building codes.
  • Coordinate work of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings for compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and track policies, SOPs, and best practices for construction and project management.
  • Ensure safe and clean work sites.
  • Manage contract disputes and mitigate issues.
  • Provide revenue, project costs, and profitability forecasts while managing the approved budget.
  • Conduct regular site progress meetings and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure meetings are documented, site visits are logged, and follow-up items are tracked and closed.
  • Identify and manage changes in project scope.
  • Identify growth, training, and development opportunities for the team.
  • Hire team members in line with an approved organizational chart and salary bands, and conduct regular performance reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree highly preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of extensive experience in general management within the construction or real estate industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management, procurement, and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance operations and reporting.
