About The Role Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage customer database by building the best routes for our dedicated fleet.
- Proactively identify and address issues related to transportation, such as delays, route changes, or unforeseen challenges.

- Efficiently plan transportation routes to optimize delivery schedules and minimize transit times.
- Implement effective problem-solving strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain service levels.
- Increase customer service levels.
- Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of transport plans.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and internal teams to address compliance issues and implement corrective measures.
- Utilize tracking systems to monitor the real-time status of shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyse performance data to identify trends, assess operational effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to optimize service levels and control costs.
- Master routes to be maintained, individually optimized.
- Move customers and orders between routes.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, ensuring they have all necessary information and support during transit.
- Be actively involved in and support change initiatives.
- Reduce operating costs through improved fleet utilization, reduce waiting time, reduce distance travelled, and minimize vehicles used.
About You\
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- 3+ years in Transport /logistics/FMCG environment.
- Matric.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization tools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in the logistics field and its dynamics.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Well-organized individual and results oriented.
