The Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation was established through a Legal Gazette Notice No. 265 of 1986 as a State Corporation with the aim of promoting forest conservation by providing buffer zones of tea and assorted tree species to check against human encroachment into the forestland.

Job specification
- Collecting and collating data for planning purposes;
- Compiling data on performance contracting;
- Documenting project priorities and status of their implementation;
- Compiling data on performance of projects and programmes;
- Disseminating relevant data to users for planning purposes;
- Compiling statistical data;
- Keeping abreast with status of projects and programmes;
- Participating in socio-economic analysis;
- Taking part in carrying out feasibility studies on Corporation projects;
- Preparing progress reports on specific assignments.
- Collecting and compiling data on specific area of research;
- Assisting in research data analysis;
- Participating in developing and reviewing research instruments;
- Assisting in carrying out desk reviews and research;
- Drafting periodic reports;
- Implementing research plans;.
- Preparing data collection tools;
- Collecting and compiling data on proposals for resource mobilization;
- Updating database of investors, collaborators, partners, donors and other relevant stakeholders;
- Participating in drafting proposals for resource mobilization; and Participating in networking and information sharing meetings with stakeholders.
- Compiling risk assessment and compliance reports for the corporation;
- Participating in identification and mapping of risk hot spots;
- Participating in developing checklist for existing and foreseen risk associated with mitigation measures to ensure compliance;
- Participating in establishment and implementation of Risk management standards and programs for application in the regions for prevention and detection of violations of the law; and
- Participating in risk management training.
Person Specifications
- For appointment to this Grade, a Candidate must have:
- Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Finance, Strategic Management, Business Development, Development Studies, Business Management or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
- Proficiency in computer application skills.
