Cost Analysis and Monitoring:

  • Analyze costs related to tyre procurement, maintenance, repairs, retreading, and disposal across different yards.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies in tyre usage and maintenance processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage budgets for tyre procurement and maintenance for each yard.
  • Forecast tyre replacement needs based on usage patterns, wear rates, and operational requirements.

 Inventory Management:

  • Monitor tyre inventory levels at each yard to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize overstock or shortages.
  • Track tyre movements between yards, including transfers, installations, and disposals.
  • Conduct periodic stock reconciliations and ensure accurate records in the company’s ERP system.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed cost reports, including tyre consumption, maintenance costs, and cost allocation by yard or vehicle fleet.
  • Provide insights into tyre performance metrics (e.g., cost per kilometer, tyre lifespan) to support decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to tyre management.

Tyre Lifecycle Management:

  • Monitor tyre usage and performance across different vehicles and terrains to optimize lifecycle costs.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to implement tyre maintenance schedules, rotations, and retreading programs.

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Work with procurement teams to evaluate tyre suppliers and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with agreed pricing and quality standards.

Compliance and Process Improvement:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in tyre-related transactions.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes for tyre cost tracking and reporting across yards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with yard managers, fleet supervisors, and maintenance teams to align tyre management with operational needs.
  • Provide training or guidance to yard staff on cost-conscious tyre usage and reporting procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or any other related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in logistics, transportation, or manufacturing industries with tyre or fleet management exposure.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and inventory management software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tyre management software or fleet management systems is an advantage.
