Key Responsibilities
- Performing a wide variety of Kenyan Sign Language (KSL) interpretation in a variety of settings which includes all departments, staff meetings, field trips, workshops, trainings, seminars, conferences, and events, and other organizational settings;
- Obtaining and reviewing the material containing the information to be interpreted and
- Conduct research on technical information or complex information to gain an understanding of what will be interpreted;
Requirements:
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have
- Diploma in the following disciplines; Communications, Sociology, Deaf Studies, Linguistics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and Certification from a recognized interpreter certification
