Legal Specialist

Key Responsibilities
Legal Compliance & Research
- Conduct legal research on employment, corporate, and data protection laws in all operational countries.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international regulations, maintaining a centralised tracking system.
- Support entity registrations and legal setups in new jurisdictions.
Contract Drafting & Negotiation
- Draft, review, and finalise commercial agreements (NDAs, service contracts, MoUs, employment agreements, etc.).
- Assist in client contract negotiations, identifying risks and advising senior leadership.
- Review RFPs and tender documents for legal exposure.
Corporate Governance & Risk Management
- Support with matters relating to intellectual property, data privacy, and supplier due diligence.
- Ensure timely renewal of leases, vendor contracts, and compliance filings.
- Support dispute resolution and liaise with external counsel where required.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, HR, and Operations teams on legal matters.
- Maintain organised document management systems for legal records.
Project reporting
- This role reports to the Senior Legal Counsel
Key competencies
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in law (Company Law focus preferred).
- Solicitor/Bar certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
Professional Experience
- 3-5 years in corporate/commercial law, preferably with a multinational organization.
- Experience in fragile or conflict-affected states (advantage).
Languages
- Fluent English (mandatory).
- Arabic (asset).
