Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage on-air signals across multiple channels, ensuring uninterrupted transmission.
- Handle live and recorded playout using automation and MCR systems.
- Perform routine checks on audio and video quality, signal levels, and sync.
- Troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and escalate to Engineering where necessary.
- Coordinate with production, sales, content partners and transmission teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Log transmission activities and maintain accurate records of all on-air events.
- Load, verify, and cue programs, commercials, and promos according to playout schedules.
- Ensure all broadcast content adheres to regulatory and technical standards.
Key Requirements:
- Born again Christian with a passion for TV.
- Have at least a Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or in a related field.
- Previous experience in a broadcast environment, preferably within a Master Control Room/ playout
- Strong understanding of video/audio signal flow, encoding, routing, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with playout software such as Playbox, Athensa or equivalent is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in live broadcast situations and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong team player mindset.
