Primary Purpose and Scope the Job (Job Role)-
- To welcome, sit, take & serve food and beverage orders to our guests in a friendly, timely manner and ensure a clean environment in accordance to Java service standards
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Presenting a variety of menu options and take lead on suggestive selling based on customer preferences.
- Handling customer interactions at various levels of customer touch points.
- Assist the guest navigate through the menu comfortably- Inform guests of menu changes, daily specials and assist the guest navigate through the menu comfortably.
- Taking orders and delivering them to the table neatly and accurately in accordance to the ticket specification.
- Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service respond promptly and courteously to address any guest concern ¬ify the manager.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Ensuring there is enough change at all times.
- Maintaining shift float money and ensuring no shortages.
- Timely closure of counter variances.
- Taking care of counter machines.
- Present bills on time and accept payment.
- Ordering of items in Vuka for the store.
- Receiving of items from Food scape/ any other supplier.
- Keying in of orders in the POS.
- Receiving orders from the aggregator tabs
- Packing and dispatching the orders to the guests
- Table clearance and clean counters after guests have finished dining.
- Ensure general cleaning of the restaurant is done and the highest hygiene standards are upheld.
- Communicating any R&M or IT issues to the Area Manager.
- Closing duties of the branch.
